Ambassadors for change in the workplace
Time and again we have seen the importance of engaging ambassadors for change whether to encourage product adoption or social change. #PressForProgress on gender parity is no different.
Globally, 8 March is annually recognised as International Women’s Day, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. However, when it comes to pushing the agenda on #PressForProgress, women such as Sheryl Sandberg are not the only change agents. In the corporate world that we operate in as a strategic communications firm, we see female and male leaders playing a critical role in moving the needle for positive social change and gender equality in the workplace.
Some impressive corporate change agents who believe in creating an inclusive workplace environment for women have been recognised in Bloomberg’s Gender Equality Index – a new reference index that measures gender equality across internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings. The Index provides a great platform to recognise and celebrate companies who champion the need for a fair and inclusive workplace.
2018 marks the year of dialogue on diversity and inclusion for many of our clients and we are looking forward to playing a role in keeping the topic front of mind. We are working with companies – big and small – to identify and mobilise their ambassadors who will be the powerful voice of change.
Internally, we celebrate women today and every day. We pride ourselves on the diversity and inclusiveness of our team and look forward to International Men’s Day on 19 November so we can celebrate the men too!
